El Tiempo Guardado es una meditación silenciosa sobre la espera y el ritual. En esta obra, Rogelio Garcia no pinta el vino — pinta el tiempo que lleva hacerlo. Los barriles no son simples objetos; son cápsulas donde algo vivo fermenta en la oscuridad, ajeno a la prisa del mundo exterior.

Técnicamente, Rogelio construye el espacio con una paleta de ocres, marrones y grises que evocan tierra, madera envejecida y humedad. La mesa amarilla irrumpe como un destello de calidez en medio de la penumbra, guiando la mirada hacia el único punto de vida de la composición: esa copa que alguien, en algún momento, llenó con intención.

El tiempo en esta obra no pasa — reposa. Como el vino dentro de los barriles, todo espera su momento justo.

A silent meditation on waiting and ritual. In this work, Rogelio García doesn’t paint the wine — he paints the time it takes to make it. The barrels are not simple objects; they are capsules where something alive ferments in the darkness, indifferent to the rush of the outside world.

Rogelio García builds the space with a palette of ochres, browns, and grays that evoke earth, aged wood, and humidity. The yellow table bursts like a flash of warmth in the middle of the penumbra, guiding the eye toward the only living point in the composition: that glass which someone, at some moment, filled with intention.
Time in this work doesn’t pass — it rests. Like the wine inside the barrels, everything waits for its right moment.
