Espacios que Respiran es la serie en la que Rogelio Garcia detiene el tiempo justo antes de que alguien llegue — o justo después de que alguien se fue. Una ciudad que vibra sobre el agua, una noche que guarda su propio calor, un bodegón que no espera ser consumido, un árbol que existe sin testigos, un café que humea solo sobre una mesa de hierro forjado. Paisajes y objetos que han aprendido a existir por sí mismos.
En estas seis obras, el espacio no es el fondo de una historia — es la historia. Garcia construye cada composición con una gestualidad expresionista que imprime movimiento en lo estático: las pinceladas diagonales hacen vibrar los muros, el carbón y el color conviven sin fusionarse, la luz aparece siempre desde adentro, como si los espacios generaran su propia energía.
Creada íntegramente en iPad con técnica de pintura digital, esta serie demuestra que la tecnología no enfría la pintura — en manos de Rogelio, la hace arder. Cada obra es simultáneamente un espacio reconocible y un estado emocional: la ciudad es también la urgencia, la noche es también el reposo, el café compartido es también la esperanza de un encuentro.

Spaces That Breathe is the series in which Rogelio Garcia pauses time at the exact moment before someone arrives — or just after someone has left. A city that vibrates over the water, a night that holds its own warmth, a still life that needs no one to consume it, a tree that exists without witnesses, a coffee steaming alone on a wrought iron table. Landscapes and objects that have learned to exist on their own terms.
In these six works, space is not the backdrop to a story — it is the story. Rogelio builds each composition with an expressionist gestural language that instills movement into stillness: diagonal brushstrokes make walls tremble, charcoal and color coexist without merging, light always emerges from within, as if these spaces generate their own energy.
Created entirely on iPad using digital painting techniques, this series proves that technology does not cool down painting — in Garcia’s hands, it makes it burn. Each work is simultaneously a recognizable place and an emotional state: the city is also urgency, the night is also rest, the shared coffee is also the hope of an encounter.
