Una mujer sentada. Un sombrero dorado que le cubre parte del rostro. Labios rojos — el único color cálido en un cuerpo completamente azul. Y un título escrito a mano al pie de la obra: En la espera.
¿Qué espera? La obra no lo dice. Y esa negativa a explicarse es su mayor fortaleza.
Rogelio construye aquí una figura de dignidad contenida. La postura no es vulnerable — es deliberada. Las rodillas recogidas no hablan de fragilidad sino de una mujer que ha decidido cuánto espacio ocupar y en qué condiciones. El sombrero que le oculta los ojos no es pudor — es elección. Ver sin ser vista del todo.
El fondo en azules profundos y ocres dorados vibra con una energía que contrasta con la quietud de la figura. El mundo se mueve. Ella espera. Y en esa espera hay una autoridad que ninguna pantalla podría capturar.

What is she waiting for? The work doesn’t say. And that refusal to explain itself is its greatest strength.
Rogelio builds here a figure of contained dignity. The posture is not vulnerable — it is deliberate. The gathered knees don’t speak of fragility but of a woman who has decided how much space to occupy and under what conditions. The hat that conceals her eyes is not modesty — it is choice. To see without being fully seen.
The background of deep blues and golden ochres vibrates with an energy that contrasts with the stillness of the figure. The world moves. She waits. And in that waiting there is an authority that no screen could ever capture.
